We won t need to make any changes to the ScheduleOfClasses design as presented in 14 to accommodate persistence, and we shouldn t want to. As with all eight of our model layer classes, the ScheduleOfClasses class represents a pure abstraction of something in the real-world problem domain that we are attempting to model in software. By allowing this class to remain free of persistence details, it will remain maximally reusable from one application to another. If, on the other hand, we were to embed file I/O logic in the ScheduleOfClasses class, we d thus constrain it to reuse as is with only those applications interested in using file persistence (versus some other persistence mechanism).
